Donald Raymond Ransberger Sr., 81 of S. Maple St., Argos, died at 11:55 a.m. Dec. 29, 2015, at his residence. He had been in declining health for several years.
Ransberger was born on Sept. 10, 1934 in Mishawaka, to Cleo Ransberger and Maude Ethel (Gorman) Ransberger. He had lived in Argos since June 2015 coming from Somerset, Ky.
On Oct. 11, 1952 in Osceola, he married Joann L. (Mazurkiewicz) Ransberger and together they have shared 63 years.
Ransberger had worked for several Trailer Factory’s in Elkhart County.
Ransberger is survived by his wife: Joann Rensberger of Argo; daughters: Christine Allen of Osceola; Jenny Waugh of Osceola; and Marilyn Hardee and husband Kevin of Argos; sons: Denny Rensberger and wife Ginny of Wisconsin; and Donald Rensberger Jr of Mishawaka; 13 Grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother: Dennis Rensberger and wife Sandy of Mishawaka.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son: Scott Rensberger; and granddaughter: Lindsey Fisher
Per the families request there will be no formal funeral services and cremation will take place.
Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, was in charge of arrangements.
