WARSAW — Those of all ages and fandoms can grab free comics at a Warsaw business during Free Comic Book Day this weekend.
Chimp’s Comix, 919 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, will offer free comics during the annual event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4.
Free comics are from a pre-selected list and are not for all comic books in the store. The list includes 98 comic books, with 48 being new additions and the rest from previous Free Comic Book Day events.
Attendees can grab two free comic books from that list. However, patrons can receive more than two free books by bringing in non-perishable food items to donate to The Salvation Army. Each donation equals one additional free comic. The only limit is one of each free comic per person maximum.
Chimp’s Comix has posted a Facebook album of the free comics being offered this year. Selections include heroes such as Spider-Man and Hellboy. Movie and anime fans can also find comics they’d enjoy, such as Star Wars, One Piece, and Encanto.
