Winona Lake Man Arrested For Allegedly Driving While Intoxicated

WARSAW — A Winona Lake man was recently arrested for allegedly driving a vehicle while under the influence.

Luis Enrique Tlahuetl-Zaca, 29, 1202 Wooster Road Lot 14, Winona Lake, is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.

On April 9, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling US 30 in Warsaw when he noticed a vehicle travel left of center and fail to maintain its lane. The deputy pulled the vehicle over and identified its driver as Tlahuetl-Zaca.

According to court documents, Tlahuetl-Zaca was exhibiting physical signs of intoxication. Tlahuetl-Zaca failed a field sobriety test and tested 0.21% BrAC on a portable breath test. Certified chemical test results are pending.

Tlahuetl-Zaca was previously convicted of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in Kosciusko County in October 2023.

Tlahuetl-Zaca has already been arrested and released on bond.
