Fort Wayne Facility Offering Free Narcan Thursday

News Release

FORT WAYNE — The Lighthouse recovery center will be participating in National Fentanyl Awareness Day on Thursday, May 9.

The public is invited to visit The Lighthouse Community Center at 3000 E. State Blvd. in Fort Wayne to pick up free Narcan, a lifesaving medication that can reverse an overdose from fentanyl. While at the center, visitors will have the opportunity to access materials for self-education, learn what recovery resources are available in the community and connect with others who understand the effects of addiction.

“The Lighthouse is a nationwide leader in biblical addiction care and we are excited to take part in the healing that is happening in our community,” said Brandon Bower, the founder and director of The Lighthouse. “In 2023, The Lighthouse residential program graduation rate was an amazing 53%, more than double the national average. Stop in now to show your support and pick up your dose of free Narcan.”
