WARSAW – The Kosciusko Community YMCA is proud to be offering Free Senior Seminar series at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA branch.

These engaging seminars are tailored to provide older adults with enriching experiences, fostering social connections, and equipping them with valuable knowledge. Covering diverse topics such as health and wellness, financial planning, and creative holiday crafts, these seminars offer a welcoming space for seniors to gather, learn and grow.

The Free Senior Seminar series presents a unique opportunity for active older adults to engage with their community while expanding their horizons and enhancing their well-being. Whether seeking social interaction or seeking to deepen their understanding of important subjects, these seminars offer an inclusive and stimulating environment for all participants.

As a special bonus, attendees of the May seminar will receive three complimentary passes to experience the Enhance Fitness program. Enhance Fitness is a proven group exercise initiative designed specifically for older adults, emphasizing moderate-impact activities with transformative results. Participants have reported a myriad of positive outcomes, including increased vitality, improved balance, enhanced strength, greater flexibility, enhanced sleep quality, elevated mood, and enhanced sense of independence.

The program integrates cardiovascular exercises, strength training, balance exercises, and flexibility routines, while fostering supportive social connections among participants.

“We are delighted to extend an invitation to our community members to join our Free Senior Seminar series and experience the transformative power of Enhance Fitness,” said Kosciusko Community YMCA Director of Healthy Living Tracy Frick. “Our aim is to empower older adults to thrive both physically and socially, and we are confident that these programs will positively impact the lives of our participants.”

The Enhance Fitness program offers sessions three times weekly, each lasting 60 minutes, and caters to individuals of all abilities. Whether standing, seated, or utilizing chairs for support, participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and comfort level.
