Free Chamber Concert Series Coming To Warsaw/Winona Lake In June

WINONA LAKE — If you are a classical music lover, mark your calendars for June 7-9. Classic Arts Programs is once again bringing a series of chamber concerts to the Warsaw/Winona Lake area.

Featured musicians this year are Gert Kumi (violin), Simona Barbu (cello), Nariaki Sugiura (piano), Yeon-Kyung Kim (piano), Steve Stauffer (trombone), and Judie Meulink (piano). In addition, this summer is the Classic Arts Programs debut of the Summer Music Academy. Students in piano and strings will be receiving in-depth instruction on their instruments and will have a chance to perform at the final concert of the weekend.

The concert schedule includes several opportunities to enjoy the performances.

The first concert will be a family-friendly event at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at the Warsaw Community Public Library.

Another concert performance will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Grace Village Chapel.

On Saturday, June 8, a third concert will be performed at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

The final concert performance will feature some of the students from the Summer Music Academy as well as the faculty. This concert is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

All concerts are free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to help cover performance costs.
