WARSAW — Kosciusko County Sheriff Jim Smith recently announced the promotion of Travis Shively to the rank of lieutenant.
Shively is a 19-year veteran of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and previously served as sergeant. He will continue being a training coordinator and oversee the department’s K-9 unit. In addition to those duties, Shively will also oversee the department’s special operations groups, which include the SWAT and DIVE teams.
“Travis has an extensive background as an instructor for our department,” said Smith. “He has excelled at coordinating all of our department’s training and also as a K9 handler. I’m excited to see both the SWAT and DIVE teams grow under his leadership.”
