WARSAW — Two Warsaw women were arrested after officers found drugs in their home.
Karen R. Leliaert, 66, 614 W. Market St., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, both level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, a class A misdemeanor.
Debra Denise Vandiver, 69, 614 W. Market St., Warsaw, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On April 19, a Warsaw Police officer executed a search warrant at a residence and found Leliaert in the home.
According to court documents, upon searching Leliaert’s room, officers found an edible cookie wrapped in marijuana leaf warning labels, as well as drug paraphernalia and meth. While the search was being executed, Vandiver arrived at the residence.
Upon searching Vandiver’s room, officers found marijuana vape cartridges, edibles, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The total weight of the marijuana and marijuana products was 352.6 grams.
Vandiver admitted to purchasing marijuana and THC cartridges in Michigan.
Leliaert was previously convicted of dealing in a controlled substance in Marshall County in 1999.
Leliaert was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 19. Vandiver has already been arrested and released on bond.
