Pierceton Elementary Teacher Angela Speicher Wins American Legion’s Teacher Of The Year Award

PIERCETON — The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Indiana Education Committee announced Angela Speicher is the 2024 winner for Educator of the Year.

Speicher has taught for Whitko Community Schools at Pierceton Elementary for 35 years in the special education department.

She was nominated by her colleagues for her kindness, heart of gold, and her genuine care that she shows to all her students and families. When she is not teaching or creating lesson plans, you can find her at parent teacher organization events, school talent shows, parades as well as basketball games and other school activities.

Speicher will be honored at the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Indiana Convention in July. Angela Speicher’s application was submitted by the Pierceton American Legion Auxiliary Unit Post 258.
