WARSAW — Court Appointed Special Advocates of Kosciusko County proudly announces the election of three new Board Members in 2024.
Chris Plack, a distinguished community leader and the current Director of Development and Planned Giving at Cardinal Services, brings extensive experience in community service and fundraising.
Plack’s dedication to the community is evident through his involvement in various organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors for Launchpad and the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club and was recently elected as a state delegate to the Indiana GOP state convention. Plack has also previously served on the boards of The Watershed Foundation and The Kosciusko County Cemetery.
His comprehensive experience in both community service and organizational leadership positions him as an ideal addition to the CASA Board of Directors. Plack, an Anchorage, Alaska native, lives in Warsaw with his wife of 15 years, Jamie, and their twins Sullivan and Charlotte.
Jason Gergely, a Wealth Advisor at Alderfer Bergen & Co., is active in serving children and youth in the Warsaw area. His heart and gift of advocacy has benefitted CASA as he was a past Board Member and Past President of the Board of CASA of Kosciusko County, as well as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jason danced to benefit CASA of Kosciusko County in the first local Dancing with the Stars in 2017.
Gergely has previously served on the Board of the Warsaw Morning Optimist Club and is still a member. His past service to CASA of Kosciusko County and his financial expertise are great benefits to the Board. Gergely chose to live and raise his family in Kosciusko County when he moved here with his wife, Lindsay, a Warsaw native, in 2014.
Roberto Perez-de-Frias is Operations Director of Global Operations and Logistics for Zimmer Biomet. Since living in Warsaw he has invested his time and passion into the community.
He is on the Board and the Board President for Kosciusko County Habitat for Humanity, a Board member and Vice President of One Warsaw, on the Career & Purpose Wellbeing Committee for LiveWell Kosciusko, a Tiger Ambassador for Warsaw Community Schools, a member of Kosciusko County’s Chamber of Commerce Latino Business Initiative, a Board member of TodosJuntos – Latinx Network (Northern Indiana), Juntos ERG Global Chair Emeritus of Zimmer Biomet and other volunteering and community engagement.
Perez-de-Frias is enthusiastic about giving back to his community and developing those around him. He often volunteers with his wife, Viviana, and their three daughters.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris, Jason, and Roberto to our Board of Directors,” said Erin Rowland, Executive Director of CASA of Kosciusko County. “Their commitment to improving the lives of children and their investment in the community make them all an excellent fit for our organization.”
“I am honored to join the Board of CASA of Kosciusko County,” said Plack. “I look forward to working with the dedicated team at CASA to ensure that every child in our community has a voice and the support they need to thrive.”
