WARSAW — The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department has activities on tap this Friday and Saturday.
You can kick off your weekend with the Summer Concert Series in the park featuring the group Moonshots, which performs music from the 1950s to today.
The concert is free and runs from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the Lucerne Park Ampitheater, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.
The Kids Fishing Derby will take place from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Bixler Park, 503 N. Detroit St., Warsaw.
The derby is free and open for kids ages 3 to 16. Young anglers will compete to catch the largest fish of the day, and prizes will be awarded in different age groups. Parents or guardians can bring their lawn chairs and relax while the kids fish.
