FORT WAYNE — This weekend, Kroger and local police agencies expand their outreach to fight hunger in northern Indiana from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1.
A growing number of local departments will unite to “Pack the Cruiser.” Saturday’s four-hour food drive will ask Kroger customers to address a variety of food needs.
The following products are among the foods especially appreciated by local food banks and pantries:
- Peanut butter (plastic jar)
- Jelly (plastic jar)
- Canned fruit and vegetables
- Cereal boxes
- Granola bars
- Applesauce and fruit cups
- Instant oatmeal
- Mac & cheese cups
- Canned tuna & chicken
Local police officers will greet customers at these Kroger stores, providing “shopping lists” to those wishing to support this hunger relief project.
