Claypool Man Arrested For Allegedly Threatening Woman, Child

CLAYPOOL — A Claypool man was arrested for allegedly threatening a woman and child.

Austin Lee King, 32, 517 E. 800S, Claypool, is charged with intimidation, a level 6 felony.

On May 13, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy received a report about King attempting to break into a home in Claypool.

While responding to the scene, the deputy was informed by 911 dispatch that they could hear King yelling and making threats. According to court documents, King threatened to kill a woman and child in the home.

The deputy spoke with the woman, who said King told her he would “end” her and her two children.

King tested 0.19% BrAC on a portable breath test.

At the time of this incident, King was on formal probation for dealing methamphetamine. For that case, he served time in the Indiana Department of Correction and was allowed to participate in community transition in September 2023.

King has already been arrested and released on bond.
