WARSAW — June at Warsaw Community Public Library promises to be an exciting month for all ages.

The fun begins with the kickoff of the Summer Reading program on Monday, June 3. This program, which runs through Wednesday, July 31, is open to everyone. Participants can read or listen and log their reading to win prizes. There are also weekly activities for all age groups. Registration opens on June 3 through the Beanstack app or in person at the library.

If you’re looking for free family fun this June, the library has you covered. Enjoy a delightful
morning of classical music at our Classical Chamber Concert on Friday, June 7. On Tuesday,
June 18, don’t miss Jim Cruise, The “Spoon Man,” who will give two performances and host
a workshop to teach spoon playing. On Monday, June 24, Silly Safaris Mamba Mia will be
here with a variety of reptiles, birds, bugs and mammals.

Children can enjoy three recurring events this month. Stories in STEM, taking place on
Wednesdays, June 5 and 12, feature stories and hands-on activities with the Lilly Center for
Lakes & Streams. Stories in the Park, held on Thursday mornings at different parks,
includes stories and songs followed by activities led by the Warsaw Parks Department.
Family Fridays will be held at the library all day on Fridays, alternating between Lego days
and Activity Station Days.

In addition to these recurring events, there are two special events for children. Roz Puppets
will give two performances of “The Mystery of Cacklewood Forest” on Tuesday, June 4, and
Kasey the Fire & Safety Dog will visit on Tuesday, June 11.

Teens and tweens also have several activities to look forward to. For teens, there’s a Drop-
In Zone on Wednesday, June 5, and Critiquing Bad Cinema on Tuesday, June 25. Tweens can join us for Knitting for Beginners on Tuesday, June 18, and the Swamp Stomp at the Lilly
Center for Lakes & Streams on Wednesday, June 26.

We also have a couple of events for adults. There’s euchre on Tuesday, June 11, and this
month’s crafting event, Canvas Starfish Craft, on Monday, June 17.

We look forward to seeing you at these wonderful events. For more information, please visit warsawlibrary.org.
