WARSAW — Multiple fire departments responded to a report of a fire at the former LSC Communications plant west of Warsaw on Monday afternoon.
Just after 3 p.m. Monday, June 3, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to a report of heavy smoke being visible from the plant, located at 2801 W. Old Road 30.
The fire did not involve any structures, as it was contained to a tank holding a solvent.
Winona Lake and Atwood Fire Departments responded with full assists. Indiana Department of Environmental Management representatives were also called to the scene.
Warsaw’s LSC Communications plant was closed in September 2023.
