This Week At Warsaw Parks: Canoeing, Gospel Music, ‘Scoob’

News Release

WARSAW — The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department has several activities on tap this week and all of them are free to the public.

Day On The Water

Community paddle boarding and canoeing will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Pike Lake Beach, 1009 E. Arthur St., Warsaw.

It promises to be a fun day on the water, with all equipment and life vests provided to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment will be used in time increments and supervised by staff.

No registration is necessary but an annual waiver and rules sheet must be signed by each participant or a parent/guardian.

Summer Concert

The parks department’s Summer Concert Series continues from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Central Park Plaza, 225 E. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw.

The featured performer will be a gospel group, The Sounds.

The Summer Concert Series is made possible by sponsorships from Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Indiana Arts Commission, 107.3 WRSW, Willie 103.5 and NewsNow Warsaw.

Family Movie Night

Family Movie Night also takes place Friday, June 7, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Lucerne Park, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.

The featured film is “Scoob!” Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and gather outdoors to watch the movie on the monster screen.
