WARSAW — A South Whitley woman will serve four years in prison for dealing and possessing methamphetamine.

Lindsay Clare Krieg, 28, 8306 W. 300S, South Whitley, was charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 3 felony; and possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony. Four additional criminal charges were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Krieg was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Wednesday, June 5.

For dealing meth, Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed sentenced Krieg to six years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with the last two years suspended on formal probation. She has 49 days of jail time credit, plus good time credit as calculated.

She also received a three-year DOC sentence for possessing meth, with both of Krieg’s charges to be served at the same time.

In total, Krieg will serve four years in prison and two years on probation. She must also pay $200 in restitution to the NET 43 Drug Task Force.

Reed also recommended Krieg for participation in Recovery While Incarcerated during her prison sentence.

Sometime in November 2022, NET 43 purchased 7.26 grams of meth from Krieg.

On Feb. 17, 2023, NET 43, Indiana State Police, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in North Webster. The purpose of the search warrant was to look for any items associated with illegal drugs and drug sales. Krieg was at the residence during the search.

While executing the search warrant, officers found 19.4 grams of meth.

In February 2024, Krieg’s co-defendant, Joshua T. Smith, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for dealing meth.
