1 Dead, 1 Flown From US 30 Accident East Of Pierceton

PIERCETON — One person is dead and a second person was flown from the scene of a two-vehicle accident east of Pierceton on Tuesday morning, June 11.

Just after 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, emergency personnel responded to an accident at the US 30 and South CR 900E intersection.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Doug Light confirmed one person passed away after the wreck between a Freightliner and a Nissan Murano.

The deceased individual had been traveling in the Murano as had two other people. Of those, one was flown by Lutheran Air and the other transported by Lutheran EMS.

The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured.

No other information is known at this time.

Responding agencies include the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory, Pierceton Police Department, Lutheran EMS, Lutheran Air and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
