GOSHEN — The Great Goshen Car Show, presented by Jayco, will line downtown Main Street with rows of classic, antique and muscle cars 5-9 p.m. Friday, July 5.
In addition to the car show, this event will offer a slew of First Fridays activities and entertainment. There will be a variety of local treats available, including cold brews at the Downtown Goshen Inc. and First Fridays Beer Garden, hosted by Elephant Bar.
Downtown Goshen eating establishments offer items like burgers and barbecue, frosty beverages, and other American summertime food favorites. A range of food trucks and the First Fridays Beer Garden serve food and local and craft beverages. The Window, 223 S. Main St., offers an enchilada dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m., and Elephant Bar, 227 S. Main, hosts a Hot Beats Cold Treats DJ dance party to extend the First Fridays festivities.
Kids can participate in lawn games and free activities, such as a bookmark crafting session at Fables Books, 215 S. Main, from 5-7 p.m. DJ Construction and the Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart County present the Chill Zone virtual reality experience, and the Goshen Fire Department presents a touch-a-firetruck experience for the young and young-at-heart.
Downtown Goshen businesses and retailers will showcase local, American-made goods and offer specials throughout the evening. The Goshen Historical Society, 124 S. Main, provides a photo booth, from 5-8 p.m., for First Fridays revelers to take photos with friends and family, and Fables Books presents a Meet the Author session from 6-8 p.m. with children’s author, Stephanie J. Salisbury.
