WINONA LAKE — Grace College announces fundraising for the Lancers’ new baseball stadium is reaching new heights. The $1.1 million total project, which completed phase one this spring, is now in the final fundraising stage.
Grace recently received a $50,000 completion gift from an anonymous donor for the final phase of the Tom Roy — UPI Park.
The final phase will cost approximately $510,000 and features a new press box, bleacher base, bleacher and premium seating and walkways. The remainder of the final phase is being fundraised this summer and fall, with the plan of breaking ground in fall 2024.
“We are extremely thankful for the generous gifts from all our donors for the Grace baseball project!” said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe. “These gifts impact the student — athlete experience daily as we live out the Grace mission through athletics. We are excited about what is to come in the final phase of this project, and we’re grateful to all our donors.”
The final phase includes a special opportunity to give to the Tom Roy — UPI Park Bleacher Club. Donors giving $500 or more will be included in the Bleacher Club. Each gift of $500 will be recognized with a seat in the new stadium. For more information or to make a gift, visit the website.
“Our donors have been incredibly gracious and generous through this process. They have blessed our program and institution significantly with their gifts,” said Grace’s baseball head coach Ryan Roth. “The improvements that we have made to our facility as a result of the initial phase have enhanced quality and capacity within our ministry, recruiting and our ability to teach the game of baseball. Our players, coaching staff and myself are all so very thankful to everyone who has supported this project!”
Tom Roy — UPI Park is named in honor of Tom Roy, who has been involved with Grace Baseball for several decades. He is also the founder of Unlimited Potential Inc., a 42-year-old organization that ministers to professional baseball players. Grace College sees the construction of this stadium and the baseball program in the same light –– as a way to use the sport of baseball to change lives for Christ.
