New Flower Shop Opening Thursday In Downtown Warsaw

News Release

WARSAW — The press and public are invited to the grand opening of Village Florist Shop on Thursday, June 20.

The event will be held at 111 E. Market St. in downtown Warsaw between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

“We are very excited to be opening our shop here, in downtown Warsaw,” said owner Rachel Marose. “We have been working towards this for a while now and can’t wait to finally open our doors and welcome in the community. I’ve always wanted to ‘do something you love,’ as my teachers at Floral Design Institute always say — so here we are. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback.”

Village Florist will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The shop will be closed on Sunday and Monday. Follow the shop on Facebook at: facebook.com/villagefloristshopllc to find out more and about upcoming events.

Marose and her husband, Kelly, both grew up in the Warsaw area. While Rachel runs the shop, Kelly works full time days at Whimet (now part of Paragon) and will also run deliveries for the shop after that. Rachel has worked in the floral industry, as well as completing both basic and advanced flower design courses from Floral Design Institute. She had a studio in the basement of their house but wanted to expand to reach more people. With the help of her husband and some family members, she is bringing her dream to downtown Warsaw. She is also hoping to eventually add more members to her team as the shop grows.
