PIERCETON — A Pierceton man was recently arrested for sexual battery.
Frankie Lee Poe, 52, 3137 E. Wooster Road, Pierceton, is charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and battery, a class B misdemeanor.
On June 16, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of an unwanted man, later identified as Poe, at a residence in Pierceton. Poe left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. Pierceton and Winona Lake officers assisted at the scene.
An individual said she turned around to pick something up when Poe stuck his hands up her shorts and touched her.
According to court documents, witnesses at the scene said Poe was intoxicated and was asked to leave. While Poe was at the residence, he allegedly cornered a woman and pressed his body against hers.
Officers found Poe at his residence and noticed physical signs of intoxication. While being taken into custody, Poe became angry and thrust himself in an aggressive manner toward one of the responding officers. Poe also said he would fight the officers.
Poe was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 16.
