CHURUBUSCO — A Huntington woman has died after a two-vehicle accident in Churubusco on Wednesday morning.
At 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, emergency personnel responded to an accident at 9465 E. SR 205.
According to a Whitley County Sheriff’s Office police report, Chrissy L. Cope, 42, Huntington, was traveling southwest on SR 205 in a 2023 Dodge pickup. Richard D. Studebaker, 77, Columbia City, was traveling northwest on SR 205 in a 2006 Sterling truck.
Cope drove left of center into Studebaker’s path of travel and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Studebaker was treated at the scene by medics for minor injuries.
