WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly using a knife to threaten a man.
Arden William Stafford, 41, 3891 N. Prairie St., Warsaw, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On June 19, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a domestic battery incident at a Warsaw residence. The deputy received information about Stafford pulling a knife out. Upon arrival, the deputy found three people inside a garage.
According to court documents, a man at the scene said Stafford struggled with anger issues and was regularly violent with a woman. The woman and Stafford had a verbal argument. When the man took Stafford to the ground to protect the woman, Stafford located and displayed a knife. He allegedly threatened to kill the man.
The woman said prior to Stafford displaying a knife, he pushed her onto a bed and hit her with a shoe.
Stafford also stabbed a wooden table in the residence, leaving two marks in the table and breaking the knife’s tip inside the table.
Stafford refused to speak with law enforcement.
Stafford has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance.
