WINONA LAKE — This Saturday, June 29, the Village at Winona will celebrate Independence Day with a parade, vendors, fireworks and more.
The day will kick off with the weekly farmers’ market at 8 a.m. at Miller’s Sunset Pavilion, 705 Park Ave., Winona Lake. According to the website, the farmers’ market has “around 25 vendors or more, covering fresh flowers, plants, coffee, cheese, meats, eggs, micro-greens, produce, fresh breads and sweets.”
The myTEAM Triumph Firecracker 5K will start at Winona Lake Limitless Park at 9 a.m. Proceeds raised will go toward the Northern Indiana chapter of MTT, a nonprofit that provides opportunities for people with diverse abilities to participate in endurance races.
Vendors will start opening at 1 p.m. around the Village to offer face painting, crafts, food, and pony rides. These vendors and events will be in full swing by 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Inflatables will be open after the parade.
The 4th of July Parade will line up at 4:15 p.m. and the parade will start at 5 p.m. This year’s theme is “Olympics/USA.” Parade awards will be given out at 6 p.m.
“Activities in the Park” will take place at 5 p.m.
The Symphony of the Lakes will perform the “Salute to America” patriotic pops concert at 8 p.m. at Miller Sunset Pavilion.
Fireworks over Winona Lake will start at 10 p.m.
