Junior Achievement 5K Seeks Volunteers and Sponsors

The Manchester 5K and Fun Run will raise money for Junior Achievement.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Junior Achievement serving North Manchester is looking for runners, walkers, volunteers and sponsors for the annual “JA 5k and Fun Run” fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, at Warvel Park in North Manchester.

The one-mile run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m.

The race starts at Warvel Park, goes through the Eel River Bridge, passes by the Historic Covered Bridge and includes a loop along Peabody Drive. Whether you walk, skip, dance, jog, sprint or run, it will be a fantastic experience. Strollers are welcome on both courses.

The cost for the mile run is $10 per person or $25 for a family. The cost for the 5K is $25 for early bird registration or $35 for same-day registration. Students will get a $5 discount for the 5K.

T-shirts cost $15 for early bird orders. Ensure the right size by ordering by Thursday, July 4. The same-day cost for a T-shirt is $20.

All funds raised will stay in North Manchester to benefit Junior Achievement Programs in Manchester Community Schools, offering financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship education to students.
