LOGANSPORT — A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared.
The Indiana State Police Peru Post is investigating the disappearance of Bryson Muir, a 14-year-old black male who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing an orange Under Armor shirt and blue jeans.
Bryson is missing from Logansport, which is 78 miles north of Indianapolis. He was last seen at 7:53 a.m. Sunday, June 16. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
He was last seen leaving a family member’s residence in Ohio with his mother, Kristen Muir, in a white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban belonging to Servant Leader’s Foundation in Kokomo. Shortly after leaving this residence, this vehicle was pulled over by the Garfield Heights (OH) Police Department, but Bryson was not in the vehicle.
On or about Tuesday, June 18, investigators with ISP were requested by the Cass County Department of Child Services to investigate allegations of domestic battery to Bryson, which was alleged to have occurred in the child’s home located in the 1700 block of west US 24, Logansport; property owned by the Servant Leader’s Foundation.
Initially, efforts to contact Bryson’s parents, Daniel and Kristen Muir, were unsuccessful.
Recently, investigators from the Indiana State Police were able to communicate with Daniel and Kristen. ISP and Cass County Department of Child Services were able to make a site visit at the Muir’s residence. While the Muirs were beginning to show signs of cooperation, Bryson had still not been seen or located by investigators from either ISP or DCS.
Earlier on Friday, June 28, Daniel and Kristen had agreed to bring Bryson to meet with ISP investigators at the Peru Post. The agreement was to meet at noon. Around 11 a.m., the Muirs backed out of that arrangement which signaled an unwillingness to cooperate.
This investigation is still ongoing, and ISP still encourages the public to come forward with any information as to the whereabouts of Bryson Muir by calling the Peru Post at (800) 382-0689, (765) 513-9907 or 911.
