WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library has a fun-packed July planned for everyone. From crafts and games to educational talks, there’s something for all ages.
We have tons of events planned for kids and families. Start the month with Karen Land’s Dog Mushing Presentation at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 2. Learn about dog sledding and meet a real sled dog. Adventure Escape Rooms are scheduled from July 16-19. Available time slots start at 10:30 a.m. each day. Work together to solve puzzles and escape the room. Register at the Children’s Desk or call (574) 267-6011, option 5, starting Monday, July 1. On July 23, check out the animal show Mark’s Ark at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Seating is limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.
And don’t forget about our recurring summer events for kids. Every Friday is Family Friday, with alternating Lego days and Activity Station Days to keep everyone entertained. July’s Stories in the Park takes place at Winona Lake Limitless Park every Thursday from 11-11:30 a.m., featuring stories and songs under the picnic shelter. Teens and tweens have cool events, too. The Teen Drop-In Zone on Wednesday, July 3, from 1-2:30 p.m., features video games and snacks. And Tweens can explore Italian culture at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24. This event includes food sampling and a craft. Registration starts Monday, July 8.
There are lots of events for adults in July as well. You can enjoy a casual euchre game from 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesday, July 9. Come experience French culture at the French Tea event at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, complete with tea and snacks. And movie lovers can watch the classic film “Rear Window” with popcorn at 1 p.m. Monday, July 15. Craft and art enthusiasts have three options this month. Join us at 3 p.m. July 24 to make a Gratitude Wreath. Registration for this event begins Tuesday, July 9. Another craft session, the Egg Carton Flower Craft, will occur at 6 p.m. Monday, July 29, with registration starting July 12. Finally, the Tea & Canvas event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, offers a painting session with local artist Lisa Bemish. The cost is $15, and all supplies are included. Registration starts Friday, July 12.
