Firefighters Extinguish Electrical House Fire In Pierceton

PIERCETON — No injuries were reported after an electrical fire at a Pierceton residence.

At approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, Pierceton Fire Department was dispatched to an electrical house fire at 9380 E. 400S.

According to Pierceton Fire Chief Nathan Rhoades, the homeowner smelled smoke and discovered a fire along a north wall by the house’s gas fireplace chimney was burning toward the outside.

Rhoades reported that firefighters were able to get the fire under control and the circuit was isolated. Rhoades said the house was still safe to occupy.

According to the Kosciusko County Beacon GIS website, the house is owned by Robin A. Hughes.

Assisting at the scene was the Sidney-Jackson Township Fire Department.
