MILFORD — Work progressed on the CR 1300 project as 10 pre-cast concrete beams were installed as part of the bridge over the railroad tracks in Milford. It took two cranes to lift the 40 ton beams into place.

Five beams were installed on each side of the bridge. Work started Thursday morning with it taking the crews approximately 40 minutes to pull the truck with the beam into place, attach the beam to the cranes and set it into place. To assist the work Norfolk Southern declared an outage, meaning no trains came through Milford from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

Friday morning beams on the west side of the bridge still needed to be put in place.
