NORTH WEBSTER — The Friends of the North Webster Community Public Library are excited to announce their annual spring book sale. This annual event offers book lovers a wide selection of books at unbeatable prices. The sale will take place at the North Webster Community Public Library, starting Thursday, May 23, and running through Saturday, May 25. Sale hours are as follows: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 23; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 24; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25.

Children’s books will cost 25 cents, hardback books cost a dollar and paperback books cost 50 cents. The spring book sale will also feature a special deal on all history books, biographies and inspirational fiction; these items will be 50% off.

This event is not only a treasure hunt for book enthusiasts, but also an opportunity to support the library and its programs. Funds raised during the sale will go towards enhancing library programs and services. Whether you are looking to add classics to your collection or find your new favorite novel, there is something for everyone at the book sale.

Weekly Library Events

The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events.

Adult Events

The Adult Craft Class will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. This month’s craft project is mod podge wood slice pictures. All materials are provided. If you want to bring a personal picture, you are welcome to do so. Please register in advance.

Are you interested in creating a hydroponic herb garden using recycled materials? Join in for the Recycled Pop Bottle Gardening class at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15. Choose between two different garden designs and upcycle old pop bottles in a new and different way. Please register.

Exercise classes will be held at NWCPL this week. Get Fit While You Sit will be happening at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Let’s Move Dance class will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16. No experience necessary, come join the fun.

Teen Events

Join in for a special Teen Board Game Night at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 13. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to the library to enjoy classics like Battleship and Connect Four, along with card games like Nertz and Exploding Kittens, and party favorites like Werewolf and Trivia. Snacks will be provided.

The library is sponsoring a special Teen Frisbee Golf event at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. Meet at the North Webster Elementary School trail for a round or two of Frisbee golf. Discs will be provided; no experience necessary.
