WARSAW — It is with equal parts sadness and gratitude that Stillwater Hospice announces the retirement of Glenn Hall, Kosciusko Community Outreach Director and former CEO of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. The public is invited to a retirement reception at the K21 Health Pavilion, 1515 Provident Drive in Warsaw from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 20.
“Glenn will be very much missed at Stillwater, as he has been a guiding force in the union of Stillwater Hospice and Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice,” said Stillwater Hospice CEO Leslie Friedel. “We will miss his leadership, compassion and friendship and wish him the best in his future pursuits.”
After a long career in healthcare, Hall joined Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice in 2017, serving as both executive director and administrator of the non-profit hospice agency founded in 1976 in Warsaw. After much discussion, facilitated by Hall, between the boards of directors of KHCH and Stillwater Hospice, the decision was made in 2023 to join the two agencies together to ensure the continuation of high-quality, independent, non-profit hospice care in Kosciusko County. Together, the two agencies represent over 180 years of experience caring for Hoosier patients and families.
As a combined organization, Stillwater Hospice serves 12 counties in northern Indiana including Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.
Since the partnership, Hall has worked to further Stillwater Hospice’s mission of providing compassion, comfort and guidance through life’s journey through his relationships with area businesses, foundations and community members.
“When I came to Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice in 2017, my thinking was that I would work five more years and then see if I wanted to retire. That five years passed so quickly! I started thinking about it more seriously after the loss of my younger brother to brain cancer, and then the loss of my dad in 2023. I wanted to make sure that I left hospice care in good hands when I retired, so the timing of the merger with Stillwater was perfect. I feel like we made the right decision, and now I can move on to the next phase of my life.”
Hall, a Warsaw native, plans to stay active on several non-profit boards and will continue to pastor at Harvest Community Church. He also serves on the Pierceton town council.
“Those things alone will keep me very busy! But I am most excited about getting to spend some additional quality time with my mother, my wife and my family,” Hall added.
