Kids Can Become Nature Explorers In Warsaw This June

WARSAW — The four-part children’s program “Nature Explorers” will begin Monday, June 3, at Lucerne Park, Warsaw.

The program is being offered on Mondays in June and is designed to be a “fun, fast-paced, interactive” experience for children ages 8 and older, according to a news release from the city of Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.

Children will be encouraged to explore nature, discover nature in local parks and engage with guest speakers.

The sessions will take place from 2-3:30 p.m. at Cabin 4 in Lucerne Park, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.

The schedule of topics is:

  • June 3 — Birds of Indiana
  • June 10 — Weather with the National Weather Service
  • June 17 — Growth of Plants & Flowers
  • June 24 — Birds of Prey (Owls)

 

Each session can stand alone, so children can attend as many or as few as they like.

Registration is required and will close prior to the session date. A payment of $8 for each session is due during registration.
