UPDATE – Two Injured, One Arrested Following Friday, May 24 US 30 Accident

WARSAW — Two people were injured and one person was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a two vehicle accident Friday, May 24.

At approximately 4:37 p.m., Warsaw Wayne Fire and Lutheran EMS were dispatched for a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 30 and CR 250E. At the scene first responders discovered two vehicles collided and ended up in the median of US 30.

According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, Roger W. Kapp, 66, North Judson, driving black 2000 Lexus RX 300, failed to stop at a red light on US 30 and hit a southbound blue 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by Kyle J. Cuban, 27, Winona Lake.

Cuban was uninjured and was arrested for OWI causing serious bodily injury. Kapp sustained a head abrasion and was taken to Parkview Warsaw. Kapp’s passenger, Gladys E. Kapp, 64, North Judson, sustained minor injuries to her elbow and lower arm area and was transported to Parkview Warsaw. Damages up to $50,000.
