Warsaw Woman Arrested For Allegedly Hitting Child

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested for allegedly hitting a child.

Kyra Marie Nuce, 35, 950 Walkers Ridge, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery to a person less than 14 years of age resulting in injury, a level 5 felony; domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 11, a woman reported seeing Nuce hit a child with a closed hand while in a parking lot. Warsaw Police officers responded to the scene and spoke with Nuce.

According to court documents, Nuce said she hit the child’s face one time with a closed hand because they misbehaved and used foul language toward her. Officers noticed the right side of the child’s face was very red compared to the left side.

Court documents also state the child was placed with Nuce as a foster child.

Nuce has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance.
