On July 22, 2023, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office detective received a report about a child molestation in Syracuse.

The child was interviewed at an advocacy center for children in Hamilton County on Aug. 1, 2023. According to court documents, during the interview, the child said Zuber inappropriately touched them on July 20, 2023.

The child said they and other individuals, including Zuber, were visiting a friend’s residence when Zuber offered them wine to drink.

They described the inappropriate conduct and said they were scared to go to bed because of Zuber’s presence. The child disclosed what happened to a friend, who told them to tell their mom.

The child’s friend was interviewed on Sept. 6, 2023. During the interview, the friend said they FaceTimed with the child on July 20, 2023, and could tell the child was visibly upset. While this case is pending, Zuber is prohibited from possessing any firearms. He also cannot leave the State of Indiana without written permission from the Kosciusko County Courts.

Zuber was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 20, 2024, with a $15,250 surety and cash bond.
